The use of cinema as a tool for youth work, especially in relation with political participation and the development of democratic competencies is very efficient.<\/p>\n

The general objective of the project is to build the capacity of youth organizations, especially in Middle East and North Africa, to use cinema as a tool in order to promote political and democratic participation of young people.
The project aims to promote the use of cinema as a tool for youth work both from the point of view of the spectator and from the point of view of the creator.
For the purposes of the project, democracy is intended in a wider sense. The concept of democracy includes valuing peace, understanding conflict resolution, promoting gender equality and a culture of freedom, promoting the social inclusion of different people, promoting the communication and common action amongst the members of a society and promoting environmental awareness and an active stance towards the environmental problems.<\/p>\n

Project’s impact\u00a0<\/h2>\n

The project has two main target groups: Youth workers and youth organisations, Disadvantaged young people (youth population).<\/p>\n

With the cooperation among the partners from Greece, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia and France, the project will be able to involve a diverse youth population that also includes conflict-affected young people, youth with a migrant background; and\/or from disadvantaged social backgrounds.<\/p>\n

The project will have an impact also to the following secondary target groups: Partner Organisations, policymakers, local stakeholders, wider public. The local, national and European institutions are also part of the target group because they will benefit directly from the activities of the project because the young people who acquire awareness in terms of European citizenship can insert themselves in the decisional processes with innovative proposals that reinforce the values and principles of European identity.<\/p>\n
